Travel Policy Provides Excellent Coverage

When our family went on a vacation last year, we wanted to spend some time hiking and camping. We consider ourselves to be experienced hikers, but our youngest son fell and broke his leg on a steep spot on the trail. He had to be evacuated and taken to the hospital in an ambulance, and he had surgery to set the broken bones.  Thankfully, we had purchased a travel insurance policy, so our costs were kept to a minimum and our son was able to get excellent care. He made a full recovery, but it was sobering to realize how vulnerable we all are to injury and the potential costs involved.
