Cheap Hotel in New York City

There IS such a thing as a cheap hotel in New York City, but many of them are very small. Besides the hotels themselves being very small (sometimes as few as 20 total rooms), the rooms are often super small too…certainly big enough for sleeping, if that’s all you’re going to do with your room, but not big enough you’d want to spend any more time in it than that. I’ve found quite a few smaller, cheaper hotels that look like they are converted rooming houses…one or two shared bathroom facilities per floor. Those with bathroom privacy issues need to be aware of this when shopping!
