Bible on Top

I remember that my mother almost always kept her Bible on top of the television. This seemed to frustrate my Dad, but she said that it was a convenient location and that when we stared at the television, it would remind us of what was really important. I remember seeing it there while I was adjusting the old rabbit ears on my parents set as a child. Recently, my wife and I took up a dish network offer and I thought about my parents old set up. Our reception is far clearer, and we get a lot more channels, but I think I should maybe get my Bible out again.
