Not everyone knows this, but there is a right way and a wrong way to train your dog. In other words, you might say that Aggressive Dog Behavior can be very easy or very difficult. The hard way to train your dog is to set out with no plan or foundation. You simply start training your dog without quite knowing what you’re doing and hope it all turns out for the best.
The easy and fun way to train your dog starts out with careful thought and a good plan. Before you begin, you need to ask yourself what methods you’re going to use, why are you going to use them, and how are you going to apply them to your training sessions. What sort of core behaviors are you going to try to promote?
The more answers you have, the more time you can cut out of the learning curve, and the more fun you’ll have with the whole training process. The best way to train your dog is through a system of positive reinforcement. This is what I call damage free training. Why? Because even if you don’t do everything right, there’s no harm to your dog. Methods that use negative reinforcement like physical corrections such as collar corrections don’t always work out as intended. In fact, such methods could easily damage the relationship between you and your pet such that training can become well-nigh impossible.
