Problems with Getting Pregnant After Stopping Birth Control

Some of the factors in the ability to become pregnant after you stop your birth control include length of time you were on it, genetics and the form of birth control you used.  Problems with getting pregnant after birth control can include things like infertility in the worst cases and taking longer than normal in others.  Some women have no problem getting pregnant while using birth control, but typically, it should take no longer than one year after any form of birth control is stopped to get pregnant.  If it does take longer than one year, you and your partner should have your doctor run tests to see if there is anything stopping you from having a baby.
