If you have a notebook computer with at least 2GHz of processing power and 1GB of RAM then using your system to record music shouldn’t pose too much of a problem. You will need an external sound card though, as internal sound adapters do not offer what we need for laptop studio recording. You will be able to buy an external sound card which connects by USB or Firewire which is ideal for notebook users. These cards offer a low latency and of course very streamlined recording capabilities. If you have a card with more than one input, you will be able to record various audio signals at the same time.
