Transformer Explosion

The town of Pilot West has several diesel backup generators available in case of a power outage. One generator can power the data center for a week on one tank of fuel. It sure came in handy when several power transformers exploded last week and sent the entire area into darkness. There was no power to the sheriff’s department until the generator kicked on and then most of the equipment had the power restored. The power company is investigating why the explosions occurred but they suspect lightening strikes since there was a series of electrical storms over the area last week.
