I worked in a medical laboratory many years ago, and then I decided to stay home with my children while they were growing up. Last year the youngest of them started school, and I decided to go back to work. I knew that it would be hard for me to reenter the work force since so much had changed, so I took some refresher courses so that I could do a good job. I learned how to use a micropipette, which was something I hadn’t used before, and I also learned how to use some of the newest machines that they use in the lab to process specimens.
