Have you notices how amazing kids playgrounds are these days? When I was a nipper, I never has such toys to play on.
Perhaps I’m showing my age (which is top secret), but standard park play equipment consisted of two rusty swings, with cracked rubber seats, a dangerous roundabout and a metal slide that burns your backside when the sun is out.
These days there are witches hats, big climbing frames and nets, fancy see-saws, curly plastic slides, tube slides, bouncy horses, tunnels… the list goes on and on. I’m not complaining mind. It’s good that there are such nice facilities for the kids.
One thing that hasn’t changes are the stupid vandals. They still seem to wreak their havoc. Shame. Really.
