A New Kind of Code

When people talk about building codes, they are generally referring to the qualifications that must be met to make sure a structure is sturdy and safe to inhabit. Before building codes were universal, a person never really knew what they were stepping into. Now that strict building codes are enforced, people feel safe inside of buildings. Though it took a while to get the system set up, it all worked out for the best in the end. Now there’s a new type of building code, one that rewards a construction project based on how environmentally friendly the construction site and completed building are designed. The LEEDs certification rating scale ranges from certified to platinum, with platinum being the highest rating.
